Cashish App Reviews

Excellent app, laser-focused on high speed expense entry.

Dont buy this app if you want to build TPS reports for reimbursement of your business expenses, or if for some crazy reason you want to balance your checkbook (do people still do that?) on a 3.5" screen. There are many other apps for that, not this one. This app is intensely focused on one thing: recording your daily cash transactions in the quickest way possible. The less time you spend in this app, the better it has done its job. It has tons of small interface enhancements which show the creator really pays attention to details to make this app as fast as possible. This is a breath of fresh air compared to the other expense apps (and Ive tried many of them) which seem to be caught in a features "arms race," trying to outdo each other with more clutter and unnecessary features. This app is ideal for someone who does their budgeting or spending estimation in Numbers or Excel, and just wants to get a list of transactions they can import from their phone (this app exports transactions to CSV files). I think this is the best way, because it is a separation of responsibilities which takes advantage of the strength of each device: phone for portability/availability and computer for analysis. I switched to this app from TapExpense (which seems abandoned), and the Cashish developer seems very responsive. Its popular enough that I expect it to be supported for a long time, and I look forward to further enhancements. For cons, I would say I find the visual design a bit off-putting, but the usability more than makes up for it. Also, Id still like to see multiple-currency support for when Im on vacation, but I know its kind of a niche usage. If youre looking for a way to track your cash purchases with minimal hassle, this is it.

Good simple app

This easy to use, and that is an absolute requirement for every day adoption so kudos for that. One thing. Maybe Im missing it because its still new to me but can you really not edit individual transactions? I make mistakes (several miscatigorizations already), but cant fix them after the fact. That seems like it should be a basic feature. Other than that it fits the bill.

Makes tracking spending easier

Now I do not have any excuse to enter my transactions and get a summary at the end of the month. I have been using this app for more than a year now... It is Almost addictive. I do not mind the decimal option for my personal use. I am only trying to get the big picture here. Overall cashish is pretty convenient to enter my expenses and thats what this app is supposed to do.

Almost perfect

The app allows you to enter in funds, and track spending. I love the simplicity However, after using it a while, i really wish it had a few more features: 1) able to set a monthly budget has auto reset in lieu of going to settings to adjust balance; 2)able to choose what goes in the summary (like the current month spending so far), 3) ability to also adjust pie chart to show by current month, past months (currently u can only adjust by days from the current date, so u cannot see a pie for the last month) 4) able to see the totals in translation history under reporting (so I see how much I spent total in the month of january for example). Im searching for an app that has these, but there isnt. I know four things may seem like a lot, but I think those will make cashish perfect. The developer added the ability to use cents bc of requests so here is hoping they will add these!

Simple and to the point!

This app is a must have if you want to track cash spending. Its quick, simple and easy to use.

Eh.

I wish I could input cents though.

Best for tracking cash

This is the first time I have written a review for an app. I have found this incredibly useful, mostly because it is lightning fast to enter a cash transaction. The biggest deterrent with other apps Ive tried is simply having too many options and it taking too long to enter quick things, like buying a latte. I love having the whole dollar option because Im most concerned with the bills in my wallet. The change all goes in my coin purse. The only thing that would make this better, and would make me sooo happy, is to have the option to track a few different "piles" of cash, as you would when following the Dave Ramsey plan. Right now it all pulls from the same pile, but I have separate envelopes for groceries, personal etc. would be nice to track them individually. Otherwise its awesome!

cahsish

what is the point of this app with no decimals. I am also interested in saving pennies

PERFECT.

This is seriously one of the best made/working apps Ive ever used. Its simple, and very fast to input spending on the fly. I just wish you could export to excel file type.. It would be awesome to have this sync with a monthly budget planner on my computer..

Very handy, easy to use

Ive been using this app for about five years now, I love it. Apparently they just updated it today January 16, 2015. I didnt know it until I open the app. Its been a long time I believe since the last update so Im very happy to see that they have not abandoned this great app.

track your spending

with 100 different credit cards, cash, and gift cards -- the only way to keep on budget without missing out on card points and deals or get bogged down with EXCESSIVELY complicated budgeting meant for business - is this amazing amazing perfect app that lets you input every penny you spend with very VERY few taps!

Great App

Since this last update, this app is back at the top of my list. Perfect for me to track my cash spending!!

Organize Transactions by Date

Would be great to see this option. Otherwise, great, simple app that works pretty smoothly.
