Excellent app, laser-focused on high speed expense entry.
Dont buy this app if you want to build TPS reports for reimbursement of your business expenses, or if for some crazy reason you want to balance your checkbook (do people still do that?) on a 3.5" screen. There are many other apps for that, not this one.
This app is intensely focused on one thing: recording your daily cash transactions in the quickest way possible. The less time you spend in this app, the better it has done its job.
It has tons of small interface enhancements which show the creator really pays attention to details to make this app as fast as possible. This is a breath of fresh air compared to the other expense apps (and Ive tried many of them) which seem to be caught in a features "arms race," trying to outdo each other with more clutter and unnecessary features.
This app is ideal for someone who does their budgeting or spending estimation in Numbers or Excel, and just wants to get a list of transactions they can import from their phone (this app exports transactions to CSV files). I think this is the best way, because it is a separation of responsibilities which takes advantage of the strength of each device: phone for portability/availability and computer for analysis.
I switched to this app from TapExpense (which seems abandoned), and the Cashish developer seems very responsive. Its popular enough that I expect it to be supported for a long time, and I look forward to further enhancements.
For cons, I would say I find the visual design a bit off-putting, but the usability more than makes up for it. Also, Id still like to see multiple-currency support for when Im on vacation, but I know its kind of a niche usage.
If youre looking for a way to track your cash purchases with minimal hassle, this is it.
